Sant Baljinder Singh ji was born to Mata Gurdev Kaur and S. Ujjagar Singh at village Maksudra in Dist. Ludhiana on 15th July, 1962.

He spent his childhood in the village. Then he was sent to school for education. During his studies, he used to come to Gurudwara Rara Sahib and have a holy glimpse of Sant Isher Singh ji and Sant Kishan Singh ji Maharaj along with his parents.

He used to listen to the holy ambrosial words of Sant ji’s divine narration. He used to listen diwans (spiritual sermons) and serve the Sangat earnestly.

Being associated with enlightened Saints since childhood, he got detached from worldly pursuits. When he passed tenth class examination he requested Chotey Maharaj ji (Sant Kishan Singh ji) to permit him to do service at Gurdwara Rara Sahib.

Sant ji replied, “First, complete your graduation. After that, do as you wish.”

After completing his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Govt. College, Karamsar Rara Sahib, he started doing his post graduation, M.A. in Economics from Govt. College, Ludhiana. But after one year, in 1984, he came to Rara Sahib under the patronage of Sant Kishan Singh ji Maharaj.

Abiding by the words of Sant Maharaj ji, he joined the Hazuri Kirtani Jatha. Along with it, he started doing Santhya (taking lessons of correct pronunciation) of Guru Granth Sahib, Sri Nanak Parkash and Sri Guru Pratap Suraj Granth from Giani Mohan Singh ji Azad. He also visited London with Jathedar Sant Baba Mohinder Singh ji in 1986.

After Jathedar Baba Mohinder Singh ji was unable to perform Kirtan due to physical reasons, he was assigned the duty of delivering religious sermons and to pursue baptization (do Amrit Sanchar) in 1987.

Going to villages and cities here in country and abroad, he connects the Sangat (Sikh congregations) with the Guru through Kirtan and Katha (spiritual discourse).

Through his many years of hard work, he has made a colossal contribution in making Gurbani, Sikhism and matter related to Sikh history available to the Sikh masses on the Internet, which can be accessed at www.rarasahib.com.

This gigantic and magnificent work done by him has been honored by several universities of Punjab, and Siromani Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee, Amritsar.

He was entrusted with the care and service of the Gurudwara Sahib, and running the Spiritual Lineage on 18th December, 2014, after Sant Baba Teja Singh ji left for his heavenly abode.

ਬਾਬਾ ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਪਿੰਡ ਮਕਸੂਦੜਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਸ. ਉਜਾਗਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਮਾਤਾ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਖੋਂ 15 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1962 ਈ. ਨੂੰ ਹੋਇਆ।

ਬਚਪਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਬਿਤਾਇਆ। ਫਿਰ ਸਕੂਲ ਪੜ੍ਹਨੇ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਅੱਠਵੀ ਤੱਕ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਘੁਡਾਣੀ ਕਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ। ਦੌਰਾਨ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਰਾੜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਛੋਟੇ ਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ।

ਸਤ-ਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖਾਰਬਿੰਦ ਤੋਂ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਦੇ। ਦੀਵਾਨ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਸੰਗਤ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ।

ਬਚਪਨ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪੂਰਨ-ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੈਰਾਗ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਪਾਸ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਤਾਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਚਰਨਾਂ ’ਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬੀ. ਏ. ਪਾਸ ਕਰ ਲੈ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਠੀਕ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਰ ਲਵੀਂ।”

ਗੌਰਮਿੰਟ ਕਾਲਜ ਕਰਮਸਰ ਰਾੜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਬੀ. ਏ. ਪਾਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਗੌਰਮਿੰਟ ਕਾਲਜ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕਨਾਮਿਕਸ ਦੀ ਐਮ. ਏ. ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਹੀ 1984 ਈ. ਵਿਚ ਰਾੜਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸੰਤ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੋਏ।

ਮਹਾਂਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਕੀਰਤਨੀਏ ਜੱਥੇ ’ਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਥਾ, ਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸੂਰਜ, ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਗਿ. ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ੧੯੮੬ ਨੂੰ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਸੰਤ ਬਾਬਾ ਮਹਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੰਡਨ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਆਏ ਹਨ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਬਾਬਾ ਮਹਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਕਾਰਣਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਮਰਥ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਸਜਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ 1987 ਤੋਂ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਆਪ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ, ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਵਖਿਆਨ ਦਵਾਰਾ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਆਪ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ, ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ-ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਸਾਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਇੰਟਰਨੈੱਟ ਤੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ www.rarasahib.com ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਾਣ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸੰਤ ਬਾਬਾ ਤੇਜਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਚਖੰਡ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 18 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2014 ਨੂੰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਪ੍ਰਦਾਇ ਦੇ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।
